Hi, I’m MAYA

Maya is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She holds a Masters degree in Psychology from the Wright Institute, and a Masters degree from King’s College, London in Conflict Resolution. Maya works with individuals, couples and families and specializes in relationships, depression, anxiety, cross-cultural issues, identity exploration, LGBTQ+ issues, and trauma and specializes in EFT and EFIT (Emotion Focused Couple and Individual Therapy).

Maya believes that our ability to navigate relationships is a core aspect of a full and happy life, and that we have the ability to transform our relational patterns and heal. With individuals, she utilizes a psychodynamic approach along with tools from cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy and more to help clients gain insight into their patterns, break through stuckness, and thrive. With couples, she integrates EFT with relationship skill-building and communication strategies to help clients in relationships heal challenging patterns, rediscover intimacy, and work preventatively to set up a strong base from which to grow as a couple.
